I really enjoyed visiting Chawton and Jane Austen's house in town with a National Trust Tour on a rainy day in May a few years ago. I was especially impressed with the family graveyard, with its old headstones and greenery, and the lovely landscape. It seems to me there was a very impressive library of books by women writers to which researchers flock at one of the locations. Also the lovely covers of some of the earlier editions of Jane Austen's books on display at one of the locations were to die for. It is very good to hear that Chawton was a beloved home to many generations after she passed. Thank you for sharing your family memories.

Beautiful memories from both of you. And you seemed to have your own enchanted secret garden.
